MRC General Practice Research Framework - Vania Gay


Vania Gay is one of two Senior Research Nurses based at the GPRF. She completed her Degree in Nursing in 1981 and her Bachelor in Social and Law Sciences in 1983 both at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, later obtaining a Certificate in Health Services Management from the RCN. Vania has extensive experience in organisation and coordination of phase II-IV clinical trials in hospital and GP practice. She has worked at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical School as a research nurse/ nurse manager in the GUM Department and in the last 11 years has been a research nurse/trial coordinator in a London General Practice. At the GPRF she has the nursing lead for ProCEED, IID2 and Flu Watch.
