MRC General Practice Research Framework - Valerie Brueton
Valerie joined the GPRF in January 2006. She graduated from King’s College London with a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Studies. In 1999 she completed an MSc in Medical Demography at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has a clinical background in theatre nursing and midwifery. Valerie has worked on clinical trials and knowledge, attitudes and practice surveys in both the UK and Africa in the field of reproductive health and HIV treatment and prevention. Her areas of research interest also include data quality and data collection. She is currently the nursing lead on a number of studies run through the GPRF including the IID2 study.
