London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine - Suzanne St Rose

Suzanne St.Rose is a Research Fellow in Statistics at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is responsible primarily for the analysis of all components of the IID2 Study. Suzanne graduated with a Veterinary degree from the University of the West Indies (UWI) in 1998. Following graduation, she joined the School of Veterinary Medicine at UWI as a clinician and teaching assistant. She obtained an MSc in Veterinary Epidemiology and Animal Health Economics at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands followed by a PhD at the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests are wide and varied. Her most recent work involved a comparative study of age-dependent susceptibility of the prion diseases (including scrapie, BSE and variant CJD), and investigation of ‘silent spread’ of H5N1 influenza A virus in a vaccinated poultry flock. Her special research interests lie in the epidemiology of infectious diseases particularly zoonotic diseases.
